Yesh yesh y’all.
Hey! Let’s go run a marathon this sunday, wanna come?
Ooh, so exciting. I’m gonna run my first marathon this weekend. Wish me luck, huh?
(P, you know I’m only doing this in my quest to one-up ya. Hurry up and get another degree already.)

Oh, and I just bought a condo!
Well, we’ll close on it next month, but the offer’s accepted and everything’s going smooth. I’ll post some pics soon as I can.
I love applying for these loans and being told again and again how good my credit is. Really? It’s that great? Then why ain’t I rich? Huh? Tell me that!

Whoa. I picked up Homegrown!, the new Roots best-of/rarities collection. It made me a little angry, cuz I’ve got almost all these cuts either from the original albums or downloaded. But I discovered this! The first Rahzel & Dice Raw track. Holy moly! I think I listed to it on repeat for an hour straight as a busted 6 miles on the track the other day. And it’s a complete freestyle too!
Man, I love the Roots. Every now and then, you forget how amazing they are, right? And then you hear an old track, or talk to someone who saw them live, and you remember. Oh yeah, the greatest hip-hop band in history, hands down.

couple o shouts:
my inspiration, J, for stopping by this site and my other. How can I be more like her? I’m in awe of people so close to Jesus that they can’t help but do His will.
my realtor, who’s the best I’ve ever worked with! And to my pals V & A for setting me up with her. I thought buying and selling property was supposed to be a pain in the butt, not something fun and exciting.
that silly girl who didn’t save any chaat for me. harumph. you tease me too much, you knowing there ain’t no good chaat anywhere in texas.
my man, A, who threw down the cruel break up speech this week, on the worst possible time of the year. much respect to the man who can string this speech together and not crack under pressure. i’ve tried to give it so many times in my life, but i always end up getting sidetracked and then we decide to get some dinner.
L, who reminds me not to forget my goal, that each and every child deserves a high-quality education, no matter where they come from or who they are. I’ll help you in the fight, but only if you hire me one day when you’re big time.
and to S, who’s continually out of town. i’m trying to keep it simple. you just gotta trust me. really.
over and out.
